 Certified Personal Protection Handgun Courses

     Thank you for your interest in Indiana Handgun Training. I am looking forward to presenting the courses to you and your friends and family. You and others like yourself should be congratulated on taking the needed steps to be a responsible gun owner in receiving training and becoming Certified with your handgun. By taking the courses you will learn safe gun handling, shooting positions, personal protection techniques, movement with your gun, cover and concealment, ammunition selection, home security, personal security, carry techniques, avoidance and awareness levels. You also will become Certified  from the most respected gun owner organization in the world the  NRA. Being Certified shows others that you are well trained and qualified. The Certification can be used and may be required while visiting some gun ranges and activities as well as possibly used to your benefit if you are ever involved in a dynamic critical incident where you are caused to use your firearm in self defense.

A person cannot really put a dollar amount on safety and security but think of this, for the cost of a yearly car insurance premium you will enjoy the insurance of a life time of safety and security for you and your family.

The courses where developed and designed by experts in firearms and education. The lesson plans are presented in a building block objective based manner whereby the student progresses at their own pace in a relaxed but safe environment. The courses are not meant to turn civilians into commandos but rather give the mature adult student the Knowledge, Skills, and Attitude to prepare, avoid and defend themselves in life threatening situations. Each student receives their own student manual to follow along with the lesson plans and to use as reference while taking the test. The range shooting drills can be modified to the students physical abilities and also adapted for physically challenged students. Most courses are one on one or small groups of family or friends. . Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions. Courses are available through out the week days and weekends. I need a couple of weeks notice for scheduling in that I may order the student packets from NRA and schedule the required Law Enforcement Officer to present the lesson plan on the Law. There is a $50.00 deposit on the Personal Protection Courses which covers these costs and is applied to the course fee.
